The Pet Adoption League - Lucy:
Lucy was found as a stray by a kind lady in Mannford who couldn't keep her. She is a young, beautiful lhasa apso and appeared perfectly healthy. However, when our vet examined her, he found she had a condition called "luxating patellas" on both hind legs (which means that her knee joints pop painfully in and out), necessitating surgery on both legs. Lucy needed separate surgeries on each leg with an interim recovery period so she would always have one hind leg she could put her weight on. Lucy has had her first operation and recovery. She has now been adopted by a wonderful retired couple who were happy to follow through with her second operation and recovery. |
