The "Santa Claws" photo shoot at the Petsmart located at 71st Street and Hwy 169 in Tulsa
We will be working with Petsmart again this year for two weekends on the "Santa Claws" holiday pet photo project. Folks are welcome to come to the store with themselves, their children, and their pets. We will help you create a cute photo with Santa Claus. We will be doing this at the Petsmart located at 71st Street and Hwy 169 in Tulsa. Our dates this year will be Saturday & Sunday (December 3rd & 4th), followed two weeks later by Saturday and Sunday (December 17th and 18th).
Pictures are taken any time from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM. Bring your cats, dogs, birds, etc. and we will do our best to create a really nice photo that you can take home with you in a holiday photo frame. Multiple shots will be taken and you can pick the one you like the best from the session. Your selection is printed out as a 4" x 6" color glossy print while you wait.
The total cost is $10.95 (or $9.95 with a PetPerks card) and you just take your photo and frame through the sale register along with any other purchases. Our organization will receive $5 from each sale to help with our ongoing rescue operations.

The "PAL Cookbook" Project:
Pet Adoption League is currently raising money to
continue to support rescue efforts, and is offering an amazing cookbook,
"Table Scraps. Cookbook for People.”
Table Scraps is available for only $20 dollars (tax deductible) and the proceeds
of every book sold goes directly back to PAL to continue rescue efforts.

If you would like to meet some of the dogs available for adoption, there are several ways to begin. Often the easiest way to start is to come and visit the PetsMart store located in Tulsa on 71st Street just west of the Mingo Valley Expressway (Hwy 169). Volunteers are there every Saturday afternoon from 11:00 AM till 4:00 PM with animals (mostly dogs, but often a few cats) you can meet.
There are also volunteers at the same Petsmart store located in Tulsa on 71st Street on alternate Fridays from 11:00 AM till 4:00 PM showing mostly dogs, and often a few cats. See the calendar lower down on this page to identify which Fridays we are showing.
If you would like to meet some of the cats available for adoption, volunteers are at the Petsmart store located in Tulsa on 41st Street just a bit east of the Promenade Mall on every Saturday with cats only from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM.

The Petsmart National Adoption Weekends (aka Adopt-A-Thons) are scheduled for 2011.
The dates are:
February 11th to February 13th, 2011 (Late Winter Event, indoors), Completed
April 29th to May 1st, 2011 (Spring Event, outdoors, weather permitting), Completed
September 9th to September 11th, 2011 (Fall Event, outdoors, weather permitting), Completed
November 11th to November 13th, 2011 (Early Winter Event, indoors generally), Completed
When Petsmart announces the schedule for 2012, the dates will be posted here.

Occasionally other locations host volunteers with animals too. In order to find out about when and where you can meet the animals, please call 918-365-8725. You will be able to inquire about specific animals, and you may also be able to make arrangements to meet with animals in their foster homes or at veterinarian's offices where they may be staying.

When you view the pets in the Animal Gallery, you will frequently find a contact name, phone number, and email address specifically for that animal along with the other information provided. If you want more information about a particular animal, please call that contact; they will probably know more about that critter than anybody else you can talk to.
